Mega Lab Georgia, the strategic partner of Biolab Medical Laboratory in Georgia, has achieved Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation. This milestone is a first in Georgia, making Mega Lab Georgia the first laboratory in the country to receive JCI accreditation.

This achievement is the culmination of efforts by the Quality Assurance Department, which worked tirelessly alongside Mega Lab's Georgian quality team to prepare them for the accreditation.

Dr. Amid Abdulnour, the founder and CEO of Biolab Medical Laboratory, emphasized that the JCI accreditation reflects the remarkable efficiency and professionalism of the medical staff at Mega Lab. It also highlights their efforts to enhance their work by applying global standards.

Dr. Abdulnour expressed his pride in this accomplishment, reaffirming that the laboratory will continue to adhere to quality standards and global accreditations in all its services, and remain committed to improvement and development.

The laboratory earned accreditation by excelling in several key areas, including establishing a robust quality system, implementing relevant policies and procedures, training the team, learning the Joint Commission International standards, conducting a GAP analysis, and addressing all deviations to achieve successful initial accreditation.

Biolab has successfully transferred its extensive expertise in information technology to Georgia through its advanced medical electronic platform, developed in Jordan. This platform integrates medical records and test results across Georgia, connecting all laboratories within the network under a unified system. As part of the partnership, Biolab provided consultancy, scientific services, training, and specialized technical expertise, enabling Mega Lab to secure international accreditation from one of the world’s leading accrediting bodies.

Biolab Medical Laboratory is a pioneer in the field of medical diagnostics and laboratory tests, offering over 700 types of medical tests for individuals, physicians, hospitals, and other laboratories throughout the Middle East and Jordan. Biolab is distinguished by its accreditation from five international quality assurance bodies: the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the Joint Commission International (JCI), the ISO 15189 certification from the Jordan Accreditation System (JAS) for distinguished health services, the Healthcare Accreditation Council (HCAC), and the ISO 27001 global standard for information security.
